Sweden provided the
backdrop for the World Championships and our British Squad
competitors made the most of the trip North.
Nuri was the star of the weekend, taking
TWO GOLD MEDALS, one in Kumite and one in Kata both in the
age 14 age group. What a fantastic result for someone that only
joined the AMA a few months ago!!
Hunisha was not to be outdone and took a
Gold in Kumite and a Silver in Kata - all
the more impressive when these were won in the Ladies Category,
which is generally ladies over 21 years old. Hunisha is of course
only just 16!
Navin came home with a bag of Bronze
medals in the age 13 categories, taking THREE in all for
Kata, Kumite and team Kumite - that boy is nothing if not
consistent. Consistently good!
Last but absolutely no means least, Kieran - 11
yrs old and a Bronze medal for Kumite in the World
Championships
The results are wonderful and as a club we want to
congratulate all our competitors and thank them for their commitment
and determination. A great championship for all those that attended!
Well Done
Everyone!! We are very proud of all of you.
Apologies for lack of pictures, Yvonne didn't
attend this event armed with camera, but hoping we will get some in
due course.
