Welcome back to a new term at Ashin-do Kai. This year has started
with a massive hunger for success within the ranks, as was shown at
our first squad session on 20th Jan, followed by the
second session on 26th Jan involving the up and coming
athletes. We had a brilliant turn out with over 30 participants and
from those 2 training sessions, the A, B and C squads have now been
chosen. The A team will be our normal competitors, automatically
entered to tournaments. B and C squads will be trained and coached
to national and international level, to represent Ashin-do Kai at
future events. Students who show commitment and progress will
automatically go into the A squad and train with our gold
medallists.
Squad Sessions for June are cancelled 1.45 at David Lloyd Centre - please bring mitts, shin pads, mouth guards and bottle of water and fees!
Please email info@ashindo-kai.com to confirm you can attend on these dates and for advice on alternative arrangements if unable to attend. These dates are booked but confirmation of which squads will attend which sessions will follow in the next week. Please also be aware that Sensei Ricky may ask some B & C squad members to attend A squad sessions if he feels they may benefit from the increased level of training offered in that session. Also, students currently not on the squad lists may be asked during the year to attend sessions if they have made sufficient progress during usual class sessions.
